Goldstein Market Intelligence, a leading research & consulting firm recently released the second edition of its Tire Recycling Sector report for 2020.This report provides readers with an overview of emerging major Tire Recycling Sector around the globe.
Goldstein Market Intelligence first began evaluating the secondary, or 'emerging major,' markets in 2019 as Tire Recycling Sector looked to set up operations in the various parts of the world. Goldstein Market Intelligence intends to continue studying additional emerging markets round the globe and findings will be published annually.
Key report findings include:-
•Approximately 84 percent of scrap tires come from passenger cars, while 15 percent come from light and heavy trucks. The remaining 1 percent comes from heavy equipment, aircraft, and o-road tires.
•The future for tire recycling is strong. Applications for scrap tire rubber — such as rubberized asphalt — have become recognized for their preferable properties and is gaining in prominence and widespread use. Many states already use rubberized asphalt when they design, reconstruct, or repair their roadways and it is used for several simple and straightforward reasons: it can cost less, provide safety benefits, and last longer than conventional asphalt.
•The activities of the scrap recycling industry in the United States generate nearly USD 105.81 billion annually. The U.S. scrap recycling industry accounts for 0.68 percent of the nation’s total economic activity, making it similar in size to the data processing and hosting industry, the dental industry, and the automotive repair industry.
•There are over one billion end-of-life tires generated annually, worldwide, and it is estimated that four billion unwanted end-of-life tires exist in landfills and stockpiles. In 2016 Used Tires arising in Europe (3.9Mt) increased by about 66.000 tonnes (+2%) whilst the reuse of part-worn tires (comprising casings used for retreading on the domestic market, export & domestic second hand markets) dropped by 5%.
